Raw data from running Ghost Downloader against IDM, Motrix Next, and Gopeed on 2026-07-30.
This is a test log, not a benchmark. All numbers come from a single run on one machine over a home connection. Losses are included.

Motrix Next means AnInsomniacy/motrix-next (rewrite), not agalwood/Motrix (last release May 2023). All on their latest stable release that day; no pre-releases.

The gap depends on where the bottleneck is. When the server saturates the gigabit link, everyone is close (Qt and Anaconda: only 1.08–1.14× faster). When the server or route is the constraint, the difference shows up: QGIS 550 MB at equal 32 connections, IDM 18 min, GD 6 min 14 s — roughly 2.95×.
The OneDrive row used 128 connections for GD and Motrix Next vs 32 for IDM and Gopeed, so it is excluded from conclusions. GD vs Motrix Next on that row is like-for-like: 5:59 vs 11:35.
GD lost one: QQ 9.9.32, Motrix Next 3.400s vs GD 3.567s, 0.167 s margin.
Gopeed hit anti-bot on three of six and did not complete them.

The totals are identical; the wins and losses differ. GD cannot sniff Youku or Tencent Video; IDM can. GD wins on Bilibili quality (no 720p cap), KankanLive M3U8 streams, and NNYY finished files vs raw TS segments. For mainland Chinese long-form video platforms, IDM covers more. For live streams and high-quality Bilibili, GD covers more.
